Desert Island Dish: April Roundup

I’m not going to lie, this has to have been the worst April on record. For various reasons, I couldn’t spend hardly any time on social media, shouting about the link up, so to those who joined in I apologise.  And that was the worst intro to a post ever, so shall we move on to the cake!

April’s theme was Easter (hope you had a good one- I still have my Easter egg which is a very nice Hotel Chocolat number with truffles and goodies in it *smug face*), so of course that means chocolate….lots of chocolate.

Kat, the Baking Explorer, shared her wonderous chocolate caramel golden egg cakes which look like the right amount of chocolate to hit the spot without inducing a nap! Desert Island Dish

Jenni, who can be found Chilling with Lucas, showed that you can bake a fun, tasty and pretty cake in the time it takes a small person to nap. Her Easter chocolate cake is a testament to multitasking! Desert Island Dish

My Easter chocolate Bundt cake, also rocked some of the golden mini eggs- the food bloggers decoration of choice this year I reckon! Easter Chocolate Cake Bundt // GoodEggFoodie

The great thing about all of these cakes it that you can still make them now- left over Easter chocs make great decorations or can even be melted down. Not that anyone caught melting down my egg would live to tell the tale…

So everything is still a bit hectic, so am resting Desert Island Dish for May/June (I will share at some point, am not being cryptic in a ‘you ok hun’ kinda way!). BUT I have some massive changes planned which I am super excited about so I want to give myself time to work on them too.

Give our sharers a visit and keep an eye on my social media for news of the changes…
