Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate! Chocolate week is one of my favourite food themed weeks, not least because I can read a hundred chocolate-based recipes and try not to eat too much of the dark stuff. I asked my blogger friends to share their favourite rich chocolate recipes and here they are for you to enjoy too.
I am starting with this bounty cake from Deepa at Food Mela so I can find it easily when my hubby’s next birthday comes around. This will make him very happy as he loves coconut!
This rich chocolate tart from Family Friends Food is also vegan. Helen, you had me at rich!
Sarah at Susty Meals appeals to my (not so) inner crazy cat lady with her dark chocolate cat biscuits. That’s in the shape of cats, not for cats. Though mine would probably lick them if I left my plate on the coffee table for five seconds… Anyway, perfect with your mid morning brew I reckon.
Jacqui at Recipes Made Easy makes beautiful desserts like this chocolate meringue crown look so easy. I want a dinner party just so I have a reason to make this.
Now I admit that I am not a massive chilli chocolate fan, but the addition of a caramel hit to this chilli chocolate mousse from the Lost in Food ladies Lesley and Michelle could have me changing my mind!
Vai may be rambling through parenthood, but she can stick knock up a ruddy good drinking chocolate cake for her kid’s birthdays.
I think that my chocolate bundt would make a good birthday cake too – swap out the chocolate eggs for truffles for a more grown up cake.
On a bundt note, Jane at HodgePodgeDays is partial to a chocolate and kirsch-soaked cherry bundt cake for her family – what’s not to love?
The fantastically named Rare Welsh Bit aka Kacie has a decadent Ferrero Rocher cheesecake. How good does this look?
In fact, it isn’t too dis-similar from my own competition winning (brag!) Nutella cheesecake. Warning though: this is for the very sweet toothed!
Finally, Choclette from Tin & Thyme would be very popular round here if she came to dinner with her whisky truffles. What an indulgent way to end a meal.
There is a chocolate recipe here for all tastes, so I hope that you enjoy making them all. Let me know if you have your own favourite choc-tastic recipe below and I will share the best in my Twitter this week!
