The annual homage to fromage is nearly here!

It’s nearly time once again for the cheese lovers event of the year: the 2017 International Cheese Awards. 

Following an intense day of judging and trade activity, the awards marquee is open to the public on Wednesday 26th July; you can turn up and enjoy the Nantwich Agricultural Show and the 120^th International Cheese Awards (ICA) show day. As well as being able to see, taste and buy some of the cheeses entered into the awards (2016 saw a whopping 5,000!) there are a host of celebrity chefs who will be showing us how they cook with cheese. The line up includes:

• Top chef and TV host James Martin– a champion of the dairy industry
• Chef Will Holland of Coast restaurant in Pembrokeshire
• Cheese maker and Corrie star Sean Wilson who has numerous cheese awards under his hat from his Saddleworth Cheese Company 
• Chef Jonathan Harrison of The Sandpiper in Leyburn

You will also find out who has been crowned Supreme Champion of the ICAs in 2017- taking the crown from 2016 winning cheese Jerseyhoeve Schorren- a dutch organic Gouda which wowed the judges with its complex flavours.
