Tasting non alcoholic beer so you don’t have to!
As a reluctant non drinker, I do miss a good beer. It is particularly tricky in these summer months when a single decent beer on a hot day and cure all ills.
Non alcoholic beer doesn’t have the best reputation, and with good reason. There is a lot of dross out there. So I tried a quite a few, and you can see my thoughts in the video below.
Here’s what I thought…
My top two non alcoholic beers

This is the beer that gave me hope in non alcoholic beers. It is hoppy and full of flavour. And wonderfully, they now do it in four packs in Sainsburys and Tesco.
The other beer I mention which I describe as a red ale is Cheers Preta. I think I got the bottles mixed up in the video! This is a dark ale and caramelly (yes, it is word). It is the one with the black label. You can buy it from the Alcohol Free Shop in Manchester. It is well worth a visit there if you don’t drink – they had loads of beers, wines and cocktails to choose from.
The search continues. I don’t know if/when I will be able to drink again so while I have two good beers in my arsenal, I would love more. If you know of any corking non alcoholic beer I should try, please let me know. Until then, cheers!
