Christmas Gifts For Foodies

It’s that most wonderful time of the year. Yep, the November pay day has arrived so Christmas shopping is go go go! I thought it would be fun to share my suggestions of Christmas gifts for foodies of all ages and interests.

I have put together a list which should suit even the hard to please foodie in your lives- and I know because I am that person! I’ve (mainly) stayed away from actual food and tried to think more creatively than the usual hamper.  Every item is linked so you can shop without leaving your house. Just be sure to check for final Christmas delivery dates, then sit back and wait for the praise to roll in on Christmas Day!
For young foodies

Christmas Gifts For Foodies // GoodEggFoodieAuthor Amelia Thorne has created a foodie twist on the personalised children’s story book. Mission Cookpossible is a fully personalised book staring your child and their best friend. It is packed full of recipes for the stars to make with their grown ups and lovely illustrations from Jose Fragoso. Purchase your copy in time for Christmas here.

Christmas Gifts For Foodies // GoodEggFoodieThis Peter Rabbit lap tray would be perfect for milk and cookies wouldn’t it? Surely a classic that all kids would love. Available from Amaroni Home.

For spice lovers

Christmas Gifts For Foodies // GoodEggFoodieI’ve fallen a bit in love with Spice Kitchen UK this year. I ordered some great quality spices and the quality was spot on. So if you are buying for a spice lover, how about one of these spice tins.  The tins come in Indian, Moroccan, African & Persian varieities- also available wrapped in recycled safari silk so they will look great on the worktop.

Christmas Gifts For Foodies // GoodEggFoodie If you’re shopping for someone with a small kitchen how about a collection of Spice Drops? These pippets of  natural extracts are available in sets  such as Christmas, BBQ, baking and cocktail so a small kitchen can still produce big flavours.

For creative foodies

Christmas Gifts For Foodies // GoodEggFoodieGreat British Bake Off may be over for another year but fans can have all of the cake and none of the calories with this official Great British Bake Off colouring book. Tom Hovey’s illustrations are an integral part of the TV show and the book is crammed with some of his favourites from past series.

For serious cooks

I want a good knife for Christmas – I have been asking Santa for ages and I have been really good this year so fingers crossed! I fancy a Global classic cooks knife. I’ve used them at cookery classes and they are so effortless.Christmas Gifts For Foodies // GoodEggFoodie   If you’re shopping for a fashion conscious foodie, then maybe these knives from Taylor’s Eye Witness which are made in Sheffield will hit the spot. I love the little bit of rose gold detail on this carving set.

For cocktail quaffers

Christmas Gifts For Foodies // GoodEggFoodie I love these Smith and Sinclair cocktails pastilles. These aren’t just flavoured like spirits- these come with an ABV of about 6% so are packed with the real deal. I’ve had these in the past so can tell you that they pack a punch – an ideal pick me up after an exhausting day with the family!

For Bakers

I fell in love with these Scrabble tile cookie cutters the moment I saw them. I have some Scrabble loving mates who would love them! They may show up in someone’s stocking this year. Imagine the fun you could have writing edible messages!

Christmas Gifts For Foodies // GoodEggFoodieSpeculaas is a wonderfully warming spice mix, so you could do worse than head over to the Speculaas Spice Co for a gift pack which comes with a heady spice mix and traditional cookie dough moulds.

Christmas Gifts For Foodies // GoodEggFoodieAnother cute option if the baker in your life loves to make pastry or biscuits is an embossed rolling pin.  Boon Homeware have a whole host of them on Not On The High Street, but I particularly like the boho feel of this folksy one. I can already imagine it atop an apple pie…

Christmas Gifts For Foodies // GoodEggFoodie Finally, let the baker in your life show off their finished goods in one of these large push top Kilner jars. Christmas Gifts For Foodies // GoodEggFoodieOr if you are looking for an indulgent treat for someone, fill it with hand made chocolates from my local chocolatier Luisco Chocolate, who will post their goodies anywhere in the UK for you in time for the big day.

For experiences they’ll never forget

Cookery schools are the perfect option if the person you are buying for already loves being in the kitchen and wants to enhance their skills.

Christmas Gifts For Foodies // GoodEggFoodieI’ve been to John Whaite’s Kitchen on the outskirts of Wigan a couple of times and it is stunning.  He runs courses in everything from afternoon tea to American classics and this Bake Off winner knows his stuff so you will come away full of new skills.

The Epsom Bakehouse run bread making courses all year round for everything from sourdough to extended courses for people looking to set up micro bakeries. Gift vouchers are available.   A voucher for Cheshire Cookery School, which offers everything from sushi to knife skills, is great if you’re unsure what your giftee is into.

I hope you’re suitably inspired to treat the foodie in your life now. If you are still stumped, let me know in the comments below and I will try and help. Think of me as your foodie elf! Christmas gifts for foodies are the best kind of gifts because chances are they will cook for you with them / share their treats with you. So gift wisely and have fun!
