It’s Breakfast Week! If like me you’re a fan of social media then I’m sure that your Pinterest, Twitter and Instagram feeds are full of picture perfect ways to enjoy the most important meal of the day.
I wish I had a great recipe to share with some- something delicious, healthy, indulgent and photogenic. But alas, my mid week brekkies are generally a quick bowl of porridge with a bit of honey- nothing to write home about and certainly nothing to point a camera phone at!
So to mark Breakfast Week, I’ve created Breakfast Week Bingo! See how soon you can find all of these social media faves in your timeline – from a oh so healthy green smoothie to the now ubiquitous avocado on toast (my fave when topped with poached eggs). Play alone! Play against friends! Pit your Instagram against your Pinterest! There are literally minutes of fun to be had!
No prizes just a warm, fuzzy feeling inside.
For the record, my breakfast of choice at the moment is poached eggs. I have them down to a tee and served on toast (with or without avocado) and sprinkled with Halen Mon sea salt. Perfect. And my best brekkie of the last year has to be the bacon naan from Dishoom in Shoreditch. Crispy bacon, cream cheese and chilli jam on a naan bread, washed down with a top mug of chai.
